MDT is known as a precision rifle specialist, offering everything from bipods to complete chassis systems. Earlier this year, the company acquired action manufacturer Lone Peak Arms, adding a key critical component to its catalog for the precision rifle shooter.

MDT’s acquisition of Lone Peak Arms has allowed them to add actions to its catalog of precision rifle parts.

The Lone Peak action uses an M700 footprint, meaning it is compatible with the vast aftermarket of stocks, triggers and pre-fit barrels. Building on this base form, the company adds numerous upgrades. Raceways are EDM-cut, and an integral recoil lug is machined into the receiver. The bolt is made of 4340 chrome-moly steel, with a one-piece body and a threaded-on handle, and given a nitride finish. Extraction is handled by a mini M16-style extractor. Lightweight firing pins are standard.

The Razor action uses a pinned-and-screwed interface for mounting an optics rail.

The Razor is machined from pre-hardened 416R stainless steel with a magazine well cut for Wyatt extended boxes and a side bolt release. It uses a pinned-and-screwed interface for mounting an optics rail and a 75-degree bolt throw for shorter cycling time and increased clearance for optics. The Razor is available as a short action with a .308 bolt face or a long action with a magnum bolt face. Its MSRP is $1,199.

The Fuzion action has an integral optics rail and is available in left-handed versions (pictured).

The Fuzion is machined from pre-hardened 416R stainless steel with an integral 20-MOA Picatinny optics rail machined into the top, a magazine well cut for AW-style magazines on short actions and a BDL-style cut on long actions, a side bolt release and is given a nitride finish. For right-handed versions, there are several combinations of action length, bolt throw and bolt face options. It is also available in a left-handed short action with a .308 bolt face and 75-degree throw. All Fuzion Actions have an MSRP of $1,499.

The Fuzion Ti is made of titanium with split integral rails for maximum weight savings.

The Fuzion Ti is machined from 6AL-4V titanium with integrally machined split 20 MOA Picatinny optics rails and a magazine well cut for Wyatt extended boxes. It uses a 75-degree bolt throw. Right-handed versions are available in short or long action sizes and both are available with either a .308 or magnum bolt face. The left-handed version is a long action with a magnum bolt face. It weighs 19.5 ounces in the short size and 21.5 ounces in the long size. All Fuzion Ti actions have an MSRP of $1,749.

The MDT web site walks a customer through the additional components they will need to complete their rifles, including those available from the company, like a  chassis, bottom metal and scope rings. For more information on the MDT Lone Peak actions, see the company’s website.
