Over the last several decades, Taurus has built out an incredible line of revolvers chambered for hard-hitting hunting cartridges, and many of those revolvers live within the company’s Raging Hunter line. One of the latest models is this long-barreled example chambered for the 350 Legend cartridge. Watch our latest “American Rifleman Television: Rifleman Review” segment above to see the details.

“[The] 350 Legend has been made and created for use in straight-wall hunting states, and it's a cartridge that has gained a lot of success lately, and Taurus has done a great job by including it into its Raging Hunter lineup of wheelguns,” American Hunter Shooting Editor Christopher Olsen said. “And this one, you can see here, it's got the 14-inch stainless-steel barrel. It's got a tank-style muzzle brake that is removable.”

The Taurus Raging Hunter in 350 Legend is built on a stainless-steel frame with a carbon-steel, black-oxide-finished cylinder that holds six rounds of 350 Legend secured in place with a moon clip that allows for easy loading and unloading. The revolver features a set of fully adjustable, fiber-optic sights, and there’s a Picatinny rail on the anodized-aluminum barrel shroud that allows for the attachment of optics.

“Now, firing the Taurus Raging Hunter on the range is a lot of fun, especially with this 350 Legend cartridge,” Olsen said. “And one of the things that Taurus has done well is it provides this mono grip that goes over the bottom of the frame with one screw. It's very rubbery, it's textured, you’ve got some pebble texturing, and you've got these undulations on the front strap that really allow you to anchor in and grab a nice hold on the gun.”

In single-action mode, our test sample had a pull weight that measured 6 pounds, 7 ounces. In double-action, pull weight measured in at 15 pounds, 3 ounces. Unloaded, the revolver weighs 83.4 ounces, and it measures 20.5 inches long, 6.6 inches high and 1.92 inches wide across the cylinder.

“If 350 Legend and moon clips is not for you, then Taurus has a whole suite of offerings in this Raging Hunter line that go from .357 to .38 Special, .44 Mag., .460 Smith & Wesson Magnum and .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum,” Olsen said. “Again, there's an option for everybody, but it's this 14-inch version that's really going to bring the performance on target when you're in the field with 350 Legend.”
