European American Armory (EAA) is known for importing both classic firearm designs as well as unique and innovative products at an affordable price. This year, the company expanded its catalog with a new hunting rifle line, the Balikli BLK bolt-action, a rifle with high-end features for its price, as well as compatibility with broad aftermarket.

The Balikli BLK series is an M700-pattern bolt action hunting rifle at an affordable price.

Made by Turkish manufacturer Balikli, BLK bolt-action rifles are based around an M700-pattern action, meaning it is compatible with aftermarket parts designed for the Remington Model 700. It uses the familiar M700 push-feed action with a right-side two-position thumb safety that is part of a trigger unit that has a user-adjustable pull weight. The spiral fluted bolt has a skeletonized handle and an oversized and removable bolt knob. The rifles come with a M1913 Picatinny optics rail installed on the receiver.

Custom-like features on the Balikli BLK include a spiral-fluted bolt and barrel and an oversized bolt knob.

The BLK is available chambered in two classic American cartridges: .308 Win. and .30-06 Sprg. Both have a 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel with its muzzle threaded 5/8x24 TPI and capped with a thread protector. Its bottom metal is the M700 pattern and it uses a detachable box magazine of the AICS pattern with a large paddle-style release. Magazines hold five rounds.

The Balikli BLK rifles are stocked in select Turkish walnut.

The Turkish walnut stock has a textured finish in the pistol grip and fore-end areas, quick-detachable sling swivel studs, a rubber recoil pad, and the barrel is free-floated within the stock. Metal parts are given a matte blue finish. With an overall length of 41.5 inches, the rifle has a length of pull of 14.5 inches and weighs 6.85 pounds.

EAA Balikli BLK bolt-action rifles have an MSRP of $669. For more information, see the company’s website.
