Winchester Ammunition and Bass Pro Shops logos were both featured on the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in the 2026 Coca-Cola 600 on May 24. The car also sported a “USA 250” emblem and patriotic paint job to celebrate America’s big semi-quincentennial birthday.
The car was driven by Austin Dillon, the 2017 Coca-Cola 600 winner, but his name was replaced on the car with that of a fallen service member, Army SSG Sean Gregory Landrus, as part of NASCAR’s Honor and Remember program. Landrus died of injuries sustained from a roadside bomb during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004.
“NASCAR’s Honor and Remember program is truly one of the most impactful and special things we do as a sport,” said Dillon. “It gives me motivation to perform well in the car. I am thankful to Bass Pro Shops and Winchester for all they do to recognize our military on a daily basis, not just on Memorial Day.”
The car was first unveiled at an awards dinner for Helping a Hero, a 501(c)(3) organization that awards homes to catastrophically wounded military service members. Bass Pro Shops’ founder Johnny Morris funds approximately 25 percent of the cost of each home.
“We can never do enough to thank our Veterans,” said Morris. “It’s our duty and our honor.”
Winchester Ammunition’s president, Brett Flaugher, said: “Winchester’s support of the U.S. military runs deep, but it’s truly amazing to join the Richard Childress Racing Team and Bass Pro Shops in honoring our country’s fallen.”
This is the second year that Winchester’s logo has graced Dillon’s car. The company previously sponsored the No. 10 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in five 2024 NASCAR Cup Series races, driven by Noah Gragson.
