New for 2020 is the Backcountry Xtreme Series from Savage Arms, a product group that epitomizes Savage Arms and celebrates its legendary bolt-action rifle design. The Backcountry Xtreme Series rifles are rugged bolt-actions that feature Savage's key ingredients for success on target and in the field—AccuTrigger, AccuStock, AccuFit and the legendary Model 110 action.
At this time of release, Savage arms comes to market with two new rifle patterns, the 110 Ultralite Camo and 110 Timberline, and four previously successful, top-tier 110 models are also included in the Backcountry Xtreme Series. Savage Arms provides chambering options for some of the most popular long- and short-action cartridges, including 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win. and .30-’06 Sprg., to name a few.

NEW* Savage 110 Timberline Savage Arms has included its latest manufacturing advancements to provide a premium bolt-action rifle for the discerning hunter. The Backcountry Xtreme Series 110 Timberline features the legendary action created by Nicholas Brewer. Savage takes its Backcountry Xtreme series to the next step by providing a blueprinted action that is tuned for ultra consistency.
The 110 Timberline rifle comes standard with a low-weight pull AccuTrigger that is adjustable from 1.5 lbs. to 4 lbs. It is a single-stage unit with a built-in safety mechanism. Like all 110 models, a three-position safety is included on the receiver’s tang. A medium-contour barrel is optioned with straight fluting and 5/8-24 t.p.i. threading for the included muzzle brake.
Savage AccuStock with internal aluminum chassis is standard equipment for the Timberline, which features Realtree’s Excape Camo finish and the AccuFit system with user-adjustable fittings to alter comb height and length of pull. Overmolded surfaces on the stock allow for positive shooter purchase, even in inclement conditions. A left-hand-operated 110 Timberline is also available.
NEW* Savage 110 Ultralite Camo Built on the tried-and-true 110 action, Savage’s new Ultralite Camo rifle is a culmination of technologies that provide an ultra-modern option designed for the harshest and most extreme backcountry environments. The 110 Ultralite Camo rifle is truly an ultralight rifle. Weighing in at under 6 lbs., Savage provides its lightweight, stainless-steel receiver that is blueprinted for consistency and treated with a Melonite finish for further resistance against the elements. PROOF Research supplies its carbon-wrapped, stainless steel barrel that further lightens the overall weight of the rifle and provides muzzle threads cut to 5/8-24 t.p.i. for accessories. A lightweight, spiral-fluted bolt also comes standard.
A Savage AccuStock is included with the 110 Ultralite Camo rifle, which gives users an attractive KUIU Verde 2.0 Camo finish for ensured concealment in tough terrain. The synthetic stock provides a detachable box magazine to feed the rifle and Savage’s AccuFit system with adjustable comb pieces and length-of-pull shims. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger is supplied here, too.
Savage 110 High Country Part of the Backcountry Xtreme Series is the 110 High Country rifle that was designed to produce top-tier accuracy needed by hunters chasing animals in extreme environments. The 110 High Country features a stainless-steel receiver and barrel that is enhanced by its brown PVD finish that increases durability. The barrel and bolt feature spiral fluting that help to reduce weight and temperature when in use, and of course, it enhances aesthetics, too. An adjustable AccuTrigger is supplied with the rifle that allows users to change the sear break from 1.5 to 4 lbs. of pull.
Savage’s AccuStock comes standard with user-adjustable fittings for comb height and length of pull customization and is wrapped in TrueTimber Strata camouflage to hide from the wariest game. A detachable box magazine is provided as well as a threaded muzzle for accessories.
Savage 110 Bear Hunter The 110 Bear Hunter rifle provides Savage Arms’ latest rifle enhancements in a package geared toward chasing the world’s ultimate predators. The Savage 110 Bear Hunter features a stainless-steel receiver and barrel, left in the white, that is chambered for top-performing and hard-hitting cartridges: .300 WSM, .338 Federal, .300 Win. Mag. .338 Win. Mag., and .375 Ruger. Button-rifled barrels are utilized here and are cut to 23”-long and fitted with an adjustable muzzle brake. Savage provides its AccuStock and AccuTrigger to allow shooters to customize the 110 Bear Hunter for their needs. A two-round magazine is provided with a hinged floorplate for quick access.
Savage 110 Ridge Warrior Wrapped in the official camouflage of your National Rifle Association, the Savage Arms 110 Ridge Warrior bolt-action rifle is designed for the end user in mind. This versatile rifle package features modern components that elevate its status to the company’s Backcountry Xtreme Series of rifles. The AccuStock, AccuFit and AccuTrigger come standard and provide a custom user experience that rivals all competition. The stainless steel barreled action, knurled bolt handle, trigger guard, and magazine well are finished with a Gunsmoke gray PVD coating. The barrel features a heavy profile with straight fluting. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 t.p.i. The specialized AccuStock, wrapped in Mossy Oak Overwatch camouflage, contains a beavertail fore-end with dual sling attachment points. Topping the stainless steel receiver is EGW's 20 MOA Picatinny rail with built-in elevation for distant target acquisition. A tactical-style bolt handle and knob are provided on the 110 Ridge Warrior as well.
Savage chambers its 110 Ridge Warrior for two of the most-popular cartridges, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win., and by adding a Magpul extended magazine, there isn’t much the 110 Ridge Warrior can’t do for the modern enthusiast.
