The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) announced the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) as an official partner of the 2026 NRA Gun Bus Battleground Tour. NSSF’s sponsorship of the tour is through its Protect Liberty PAC.

The 2026 NRA Gun Bus Battleground Tour is NRA-ILA’s first-ever national bus campaign. The tour is taking grassroots, legislative, and political work directly to gun owners across 13 states and more than 60 planned stops, including gun stores, manufacturing facilities, ranges, college football tailgates, and community events, through Election Day on November 3, 2026.

“The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the voice of the companies, retailers, and ranges that keep America’s hunting and shooting traditions alive,” said John Commerford, Executive Director of NRA-ILA. “NSSF doesn’t just represent the industry. It stands with law-abiding gun owners when their rights are on the line. We are proud to have them join the Gun Bus as an official sponsor as we mobilize voters in the states that will decide the midterms.”

Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Connecticut, the NSSF is the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting, and shooting-sports industry. Its members include manufacturers, distributors, retailers, ranges, and sportsmen’s organizations. The NSSF promotes, protects, and preserves hunting and the shooting sports, and it owns and produces the annual SHOT Show.

“The men and women who make, sell, and teach the safe use of firearms have a direct stake in who writes the laws,” said Lawrence G. Keane, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the NSSF and Treasurer of Protect Liberty PAC. “NRA-ILA is taking that fight to gun shops, ranges, and communities in the states that matter most this November. Through Protect Liberty PAC, the NSSF is proud to stand with them on the Gun Bus and to help turn out the voters who will defend the Second Amendment.”

The tour includes planned stops in Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. It concludes on Election Day, November 3, 2026.
