While the AR-pattern design, in both AR-15 and AR-10 guises, continues to be the most popular and prolific semi-automatic rifle platform in America, don't think that means that there aren't other great, new options emerging on the market. For 2026, we saw a few new semi-automatic platforms, with some based on legacy designs like the AK, while other manufacturers brought new concepts to consumers.
