Armed Citizen® Today

On Aug. 30 around 3:30 p.m., four individuals wearing masks entered a jewelry store in Pomona, Calif., and at least one was carrying a gun.

Responding quickly to the sight of the presumptive robbers, a person inside the store fired at the masked men with a shotgun, causing them all to flee. One of the masked suspects apparently attempted to return fire as they fled, but no one was injured. (sgvtribune.com; Monrovia, Calif.; 8/30/26)

From the Armed Citizen® Archives – May 30, 1987

A 78-year-old Crestwood, Ala., widow heard a noise at her back door and saw a man cutting a hole in her screen door. After recognizing him as a man who had raped and robbed her previously and was suspect in a series of rapes, she drove off the intruder with gunfire. (The News; Birmingham, Ala.)
