Armed Citizen® Today

In Dandridge, Tenn., around 10 p.m. on June 4, a man watched as a Ford F150 pickup stopped on the street outside his home and backed up. A man then reportedly exited the vehicle carrying a sword and threatening to kill the homeowner. The homeowner grabbed a firearm he kept in his vehicle and shot the assailant dead.

Police said the suspect still had the sword in hand when they arrived and took possession of the body for an autopsy. (standardbanner.com; Jefferson City, Tenn.; 6/4/26)

From the Armed Citizen® Archives – January 1987

A Milwaukee bartender was alone with a customer who came behind the bar and beat her with a bottle and a pool cue. The man began rifling through the cash register and threatening the woman bartender, who reached for a gun and wounded her assailant. He then fled. (The Journal; Milwaukee, Wis.)
