Armed Citizen® Today

Early in the morning on May 21 in Marlin, Texas, a woman was forced to defend her underage children from a relative who began stabbing them. The relative, who reportedly suffered from “health issues that caused tension,” was shot fatally. Three stabbing victims, two of whom were juveniles, were reported to be in stable condition at the hospital. (kwtx.com; Waco, Texas; 5/21/26)

From the Armed Citizen® Archives – January 1987

When a man kicked in the door of Vicki Stroud's Sacramento, Calif., home and began beating her, Stroud's 16-year-old son told the intruder to stop. As the attack continued, the boy went into his mother's bedroom, got a .357 Mag. revolver and returned to fatally shoot his mother's assailant. Police said the shooting was justifiable.
