Belize Selects

Several official agencies in Belize have awarded Caracal USA with a contract to supply CAR814 A2 Patrol rifles. Less than a month before, the Nampa, Idaho-based manufacturer—specializing in small arms for the law enforcement and defense markets—also entered into agreements with other Caribbean governments and security organizations to provide an undisclosed number of the company’s CMP9Ks.

“Working with our Caribbean regional representatives, I.I. & E, Caracal USA products have become well known with the government agencies of Caribbean nations,” said Jeffrey Spalding, CEO and president of Caracal USA. “Our dedication to safety, reliability and durability continues to showcase the quality of Caracal USA weapon systems and has allowed the opportunity to compete in tender solicitations and be awarded supply contracts for new modern weapon systems to Belize.”

The CAR814 A2 Patrol is manufactured in accordance with NATO standards, chambered in 5.56 NATO and uses the direct-gas-impingement system of operation. Designed specifically for military and law enforcement users, the platform incorporates high-quality components, advanced engineering, and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to deliver a durable, reliable and accurate firearm system built to exacting tolerances.

The Central American nation of Belize is located in Central America, bordered by Mexico, Guatemala and the Atlantic Ocean. It encompasses 8,867 square miles.

Agencies in the nation of Belize agencies that will soon field CAR814 A2s were not disclosed in the announcement. The Belize Defence Force has roughly 2,000 active-duty members. The nation has more than 1,000 sworn police officers, although an incident in early 2025 saw that department place added emphasis on less-lethal response to criminal encounters.

Caracal USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caracal International and the exclusive importer and manufacturer of Caracal products in the United States. Caracal USA produces high-quality solutions for the commercial, law enforcement and defense industries.
