A 19-year-old who attempted to rob a concealed-carry permit holder on Chicago's south side was greeted with stiff resistance one Tuesday. When the robber approached the 25-year-old woman, he displayed a weapon and tried to rob her. Having none of it, the young woman produced a firearm and shot the man in the neck. Police found the assailant less than a block away and rushed him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injury. (Chicago Sun TimesChicago, Ill., 1/8/2019)
