Most pistol-caliber AR-15 pattern carbines have blowback-operated actions with fixed bolts. The folks at Flint River Armory wanted the reliability of a short-stroke gas-piston action paired with a four-lug rotating bolt. They incorporated both of these features into the purpose built CSA45 .45 ACP carbine. Although this rifle has the look and feel of a typical AR, it has been designed from the ground up for the cartridge it fires instead of being just another caliber conversion. Features include milled 6061 T-6 aluminum billet receivers, a left side charging handle and forward shell ejection. This 16" barrel American-made rifle ships with two propriatary 25-round stainless steel magazines, a threaded muzzle and sling attachment. MSRP: $1,595
