Sightron S1 4-12X 40 mm G2

While Sightron’s catalog includes riflescope models appropriate for virtually any application, the S1 G2 series is the company’s effort to prove that quality hunting glass need not be expensive—and the 4-12X 40 mm version that we evaluated (shown) may be the most versatile of the lot.

Second-focal-plane scopes built into aircraft-grade-aluminum 1" main tubes, the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof S1 G2s provide clear, high-contrast, glare-free viewing, thanks to their MC-333 multi-coated lenses.

The capped turrets offer a 60-m.o.a. total adjustment range for both elevation and windage, and the 1/4-m.o.a. adjustments yield distinct, audible clicks. Reticle options include a simple duplex, a mil-dot and the company’s BDC-style Hunter Holdover Reticle.

MSRP is $250. For more information, visit sightron.com.
