Fuljenz

Dr. Michael Fuljenz, founder of Universal Coin & Bullion based in Beaumont, Texas, was recognized by the Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG) for Best Investment Newsletter of 2026. Fuljenz’s weekly newsletter, Metals Market Report, provides readers with insight on price trends of precious metals, as well as other must-know information for those looking to invest in hard assets.

“Knowing the rarity, popularity and price of a rare coin or what is affecting the price trends of gold and silver is only part of the equation,” Fuljenz told Coin World magazine. “Investors need crucial information about avoiding scams when buying or selling, and advice about toning, luster and safely storing their valuables. That’s what I do in the newsletter.”

The award was presented to Fuljenz at this year’s World’s Fair of Money held in Pittsburgh, Pa., and it is among more than 60 NLG awards presented to Fuljenz since 1986, including the organization’s highest honor, the Clemy Award. Fuljenz has also received more than a dozen other awards from organizations such as the Press Club of Southeast Texas, the American Numismatists Association and the Professional Numismatists Guild.

Fuljenz has long been known as America’s Gold Expert, and he is a longtime supporter of the National Rifle Association and a familiar face at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, where Fuljenz, along with a panel of experts, presents detailed information regarding gold, rare coins and other investments to NRA members in the Freedom First Financial Seminar. In 2025, at the NRA Annual Meetings in Atlanta, Ga., Fuljenz’s company sponsored the NRA Prayer Breakfast held on Sunday mornings at each NRA Annual Meeting. Fuljenz is also the official bullion and rare coin expert of NRA Media.
