The Stevens name has long been associated with affordable shotguns in a variety of forms. Most recently, the brand, a division of Savage Arms, has imported pump, single-shot and over-under models. For 2023, the company is introducing a semi-automatic model in the Stevens 560 Field.

The 560 Field will be available in both full-size and compact models with 26" or 28" barrels.

A gas-operated, 12-ga. design, the Stevens Model 560 Field that has a 3" chamber and can shoot both 3" and 2 3/4" shells. The chrome-lined barrel has a raised ventilated and matted top rib and a fiber-optic front sight and uses the same pattern of chokes as the Stevens 555 over-under. The shotgun is supplied with three removable tubes: improved cylinder, improved modified and full.

The stock and fore-end are made of Turkish walnut and feature a “stippled” texture in the gripping areas, an oil finish and a rubber recoil pad. Controls are oversized, with the push-through cross-bolt safety placed in the rear of the trigger guard and a bolt release on the right side of the receiver just below the ejection port. The tubular magazine holds five 2 3/4" shells or three 3" shells. The receiver is machined from 7075 aluminum alloy, keeping the overall weight of the 560 at just under 7 lbs. Both the receiver and barrel are finished in matte black.

Controls on the 560 Field are oversized. The stock and forearm are of Turkish walnut with a stippled texture in the gripping areas.

The 560 Field is available in both full-sized and compact models with either a 28" or 26" barrel. Full-sized models have a length of pull (LOP) of 14.5" and Compact models have a 13.5" LOP. All 560 models have an MSRP of $499. For more information, visit savagearms.com.
