Crimson Trace has announced a Laserguard for Remington’s newest handgun-the R51. The LG-494 is available as an after-market addition if the gun doesn't come from the factory with one pre-installed.

The speed with which this red laser sight is available is the result of behind-the-doors details shared during the handgun's development stage. Once Remington engineers decided on the frame and trigger guard dimensions, those details-and sample products-soon arrived in the hands of Crimson Trace's engineers. In catch-up mode to meet the pistol's pending consumer launch date, Crimson Trace engineers fast tracked the product development.

"No one else in the industry can react as fast as Crimson Trace to develop a new product," said Dan Hughes, lead project engineer for Crimson Trace. "The LG-494 is a great example of the fast turn-around time from request to finished product. The fact that Remington will offer the LG-494 as a pre-installed factory upgrade further confirms that this is a quality and durable product."

The LG-494 is available pre-installed on R51s, as a separate accessory in stores or in Crimson Trace’s online store.
