Guns, Shooting and Hunting: What I’ve Learned in 60 Years

Much of what one learns is truly inexpressible to others—so it’s a wonderful rarity when someone can put their knowledge into words.

Bill Wilson, of Wilson Combat, started by plinking at a young age, but in the 1970s, he began gunsmithing in the back of his family’s jewelry store in Berryville, Ark., calling this one-man effort Wilson’s Gun Shop, which later evolved into Wilson Combat. Wilson became a top competitor in numerous disciplines during the same time period. Just as he became known for his shooting skills, Wilson Combat became known for high standards of quality and performance. Wilson was also instrumental in founding the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) in 1996.

This book gives readers vast insight into the kind of technical, hunting and shooting knowledge one can draw from six decades of experience. And it’s an easy read, despite being filled with detailed discussions on rifles, handguns and cartridges. Wilson weaves in plenty of his insights along with the lessons learned from a lifetime of shooting and hunting around the world.

Pricing is $35.95, plus shipping and handling. You can order a copy directly from the Wilson Combat website here.
