TriStar Arms, known for its lineup of affordable shotguns and handguns imported from Turkey, expanded its offerings in early 2020 with the launch of its all-new Trinity series of over/under shotguns. This new expansion comes on the heels of the company's award-winning Viper G2 Bronze semi-automatic shotgun chambered in .410 Bore (reviewed here), which received American's Rifleman's 2019 Golden Bullseye Award for Shotgun of the Year.

Two different options are available in the TriStar Arms Trinity shotgun lineup, as far as receiver construction goes. The main Trinity lineup features an all-steel receiver that is CNC-machined to tight tolerances for solid lockup and a lifetime of performance. The steel-receiver guns are available in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge models, with optional barrel lengths of 28" or 26" on the 12- and 20-gauge models.

Depending on chambering and barrel length, the steel-framed TriStar Trinity weighs in between 6.3 and 6.9 pounds. The 12- and 20-gauge models are outfitted with 3" chambers, while the 16-gauge offering, complete with a 28" barrel, comes with a 2.75" chamber.

The second option in the new shotgun lineup is the Trinity LT, which features a lighter receiver CNC-machined from aluminum. The Trinity LT can be had in 12-, 20-, 28- and .410 Bore gauges, and each shotgun in the LT lineup ships with 28" barrels, save for the 20-gauge model, which features a 26" barrel. Thanks to the aluminum receiver on the Trinity LT, these shotguns weigh between 5.3 and 6.3 pounds, depending on chambering and barrel length.

Even with these varied offerings, the TriStar Arms Trinity lineup provides added value in terms of the extra features found on each shotgun. The receivers are beautifully detailed with engraved motifs inlayed with 24-carat gold accents. Complementing the finely engraved receivers are beautifully finished stocks made from Turkish walnut, and each model features deep checkering and an oil finish. The shotguns ship with fiber-optic front sights and five Beretta Mobil chokes (SK, IC, M, IM and F).

The TriStar Trinity shotgun lineup is covered under the company's five-year warranty. Suggested retail pricing on both Trinity and Trinity LT models is $685, save for the 28-gauge and .410-Bore Trinity LT options, which both retail for $700.
