Honor Defense has announced nine new skus of the Honor Guard compact and sub-compact models for both the commercial and law enforcement markets, bringing the number of available models of the 100-percent American-made single-stack 9 mm pistol to 16 for the two-year-old gun maker.

Consumers now have the grips options in FDE, OD Green or Mahogany, and are also available with or without a manual thumb safety. The law enforcement community can now get the compact HG9CLE with a 3.8" barrel in Black or FDE grips, with or without a manual thumb safety. In addition, LE versions include two 8-round magazines for back up and off-duty carry.

"Shooters like variety," said Gary Ramey, Honor Defense President. "So we are trying to provide handguns with features they desire, such as compact and long-slide versions, as well as manual safeties and even colors that make their guns stand out."

The Honor Guard is a striker-fired 9 mm handgun developed with input from firearm and law enforcement experts. Pistols feature ambidextrous controls on the magazine release and slide lock, as well as ambidextrous safety on versions with a manual safety. The standard sights are angled-cut from the rear to prevent snagging when drawing, along with a flat edge on the front of the back sight for cocking the firearm one-handed.

The pistols also feature a crisp trigger with a short reset for fast follow-up shots and serrations over the slide for easier racking. Additionally, each Honor Guard comes with two magazines—a seven-round and an eight-round—and two backstraps for customizing the grip to the shooter.

"We have grown to have a family of 16 pistol skus since January 2016. With advanced design engineering, we will continue to build on that success" added Ramey. "We will remain focused on designs that are ambidextrous, modular, and do not need tools or trigger pull for disassembly. We'll also be adding more grip sizes, calibers and barrel options in the future."
