When the Henry Repeating Arms Model 1860 went into production, only about 200 rifles were manufactured with iron frames before the more common brass frame was adopted. Now Henry is recreating the iron frame Model 1860, and the rifle shown here is the “number one” gun of the series. The lever-action gun fires .44-.40 and features case-hardened steel receiver, lever and buttplate, a fancy American Walnut stock and a 24-inch blued steel barrel. undefined

Want to take delivery of this gun? You can, as it has been donated by Henry for a gunbroker.com auction to benefit the National NRA Foundation Banquet & Auction. Bidding is currently underway and will be open through April 12, 2015 at 4 p.m. CST. undefined

Bid now on this rifle at http://bit.ly/HenryIronFrame.  And if you just want to admire this unique rifle in person before it goes to its new owner, it will be on display in Nashville at the Henry Repeating Arms booth (#1438) during the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits April 10-12, 2015.
