Armed Citizen® Today

A disgruntled driver who allegedly drove down a pier in Bokeelia, Fla., in an attempt to run down a local harbormaster is dead after a bystander opened fire on the truck, according to local news reports.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office investigation, the driver approached a man on the pier and displayed a firearm. He then returned to his vehicle and drove down the pier, which was occupied by a number of bystanders and families who were fishing. As the truck approached the halfway point of the pier, a man opened fire, stopping the driver and the truck, which became stuck on a gate.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and police are still investigating. (WINK News; Bokeelia, Fla.; 8/1/24)

Why the Murder Rate Quickly Fell to a Likely Historic Low

If the gun-control Left is to be believed, then the murder rate in the U.S. should be going up. After all, gun sales and ownership rates have been rising for the last few decades and anti-gun groups claim that gun ownership is the cause of violent crime. This, of course, is nonsense.
