The son of a pizza-shop owner in Philadelphia, Pa., shot two alleged robbers at the store late at night on Nov. 4, 2023.

At 8 p.m., the two suspects entered the pizza shop, armed with guns, and allegedly attempted to rob the store. A witness at the scene told ABC 6 News that the shop owner's son said "he had to shoot [the robber] because the guy was shooting at him. Said he had to shoot back [in] self-defense."

The employee exchanged gunfire with the two armed thieves, hitting one multiple times in the head and upper body and killing him. The other suspect fled on foot. Police are reviewing outdoor security cameras and are attempting to locate the other suspect. (ABC 6; Philadelphia, Pa.; 11/4/23)

Why the Murder Rate Quickly Fell to a Likely Historic Low

If the gun-control Left is to be believed, then the murder rate in the U.S. should be going up. After all, gun sales and ownership rates have been rising for the last few decades and anti-gun groups claim that gun ownership is the cause of violent crime. This, of course, is nonsense.
