Armed Citizen® Today

A scheduled custody exchange in the parking lot of a Cleveland police station on July 22 apparently turned into a heated argument between the father of the child and two women, one of whom was the mother, but eventually the parties disengaged and drove away.

However, when the father saw the women’s vehicle again on the road, he rammed into it, though his child was a passenger. The women returned to the police station, managing to enter the parking lot, but the father again rammed their vehicle there.

The women and child left the vehicle and attempted to reach the police-station lobby, but the man exited his car and pursued them. One of the women fired shots at the man, striking him multiple times, and one of the women entered the station to notify them.

Police had the man transported to the hospital, but he died from his injuries. (wkyc.com; Cleveland, Ohio; 7/22/26)

A 76-year-old Baltimore, Md., man heard someone prying open his door and saw two men with crowbars attempting to rip out the deadbolt lock. The elderly man got a handgun and fired at one of the men about to enter the apartment, fatally wounding the intruder. The resident was not charged. (The Evening Sun; Baltimore, Md.)
