To say that lever-action rifles have gone tactical recently would be a bit of an understatement. Adding skeletonized stocks and M-Lok fore-ends to these traditional rifles have introduced a new generation to their benefits. A new collaboration between modern lever-action specialists Ranger Point Precision and Line49 Rifle transforms Henry’s groundbreaking Lever Action Supreme Rifle(LASR).
Introduced in 2025, Henry’s LASR sought to transform the lever gun world, with features like an adjustable trigger, free-floating barrel and AR-magazine compatibility, in a compact package that came chambered for modern AR-style cartridges. It quickly got the attention of both Henry’s Special Products Division and the aftermarket.
Ranger Point Precision (RPP) and Line49 Rifle (L49R) are known for their modern lever-action parts and accessories. The new LASR conversion draws from both.
They start with L49R’s threaded, match-grade barrels, which are paired with the company’s barrel nut and mil-spec barrel extension. Made of 416R stainless steel, the barrels have 5R rifling, a match-grade chamber and have a Cerakote finish. They are available in light, medium or heavy profiles and come with L49R’s Triple Crown Flash Hider installed.
The conversion’s handguard is RPP’s PewView M-Lok handguard rail system. Designed to accommodate a “thumb over” support-hand grip, the handguard is made of 6061 Type III hard anodized aluminum and includes a carbon fiber reinforced heat shield and a cantilever Picatinny optics rail that extends rearward over the action.
The rifles are available with either the original factory walnut buttstock or RPP’s M-Lok ModStock or 1913 Picatinny Adapter that allows for the attachment of your stock or stabilizing arm brace of choice. RRP’s ModStock is made of 6061 Type III anodized aluminum and has an adjustable cheekpiece and an M-Lok accessory panel.|
Line49 Rifle is offering their LASR conversions in 21 configurations, including short-barreled rifle (SBR) with 10.3-inch and 13.7-inch barrels and 16-inch barreled versions. Available chamberings include 5.56 NATO, 6 mm ARC, .300 Blackout and 338 ARC. Finish options include the original factory anodized receiver and blued steel parts or a Sniper Gray or Patriot Brown Cerakote finish. MSRPs range from $2,199 to $2,799.
Conversion kits, consisting of a barrel and handguard, are also available for those who already own a Henry LASR (MSRP $749 to $899), and the company will convert your rifle for $199 plus the cost of the conversion kit. For more information, see the company’s website.
