Bill Bovensiep combined his materials experience from work in the automotive industry with his respect for the M14 rifle platform to create the original Delta 14 Chassis—a high-strength glass-filled nylon stock for guns such as the Springfield M1A that could be customized with buttstocks based on the Mossberg 500 mount interface. The Gen 2 model is still U.S.-made and improves on the original with lighter weight (12 ozs. vs. 18 ozs.), a centered receiver-mounting channel, M-Lok slots at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, and an included UTG aluminum rail and BCM rail covers. The company offers a variety of optional rigid or folding buttstocks that accommodate individual users’ builds and mission requirements. The Delta 14 Chassis retails for $200.
