Break-action, single-shot rifles with interchangeable barrels are all about versatility. You can go from a muzzleloader to a varmint gun or an elk rifle simply by swapping barrels. But the Apex from CVA is also about accuracy. In fact, the company guarantees that when you put the muzzleloader barrel on the Apex, it will be the most accurate smokepole you’ve ever shot. If it’s not, CVA will refund your money.

That’s a bold claim, but CVA’s confidence comes from the premium barrels it offers with the Apex. All muzzleloader and centerfire rifle barrels for the Apex are made from 416 stainless steel by Bergara, a high-tech manufacturing facility in Spain. Bergara uses a five-step process to produce what the company believes are the best barrels in the business.

If you’re looking for one rifle for all seasons, the Apex may be it. Sure, it’s a single-shot, but with this kind of accuracy, one shot could be all you need.
