CVA’s ACCURA Mountain Rifle (MR) muzzleloader weighs 6.35 pounds, a full pound less than the company’s APEX, a rifle from which the design borrowed heavily. The MR’s frame is manufactured from aluminum rather than steel, and the fluted, 1:28-inch-twist 416 stainless steel Bergara barrel is an abbreviated 25 inches, both changes which contribute to the gun’s reduced heft.

The exterior metal surfaces feature WeatherGuard finish for enhanced durability. The MR has the company’s Quick Release Breech Plug, trigger guard-actuated breeching action, neutral center-of-gravity trigger, Palm Saver ramrod, and a SoftTouch stock with rubber grip panels and Realtree Max-1 camouflage.

Accompanying the MR is a DuraSight Dead-On scope mount (for rifles without fiber-optic sights) and a Quake Claw Sling.
