Dott. Pietro Gussalli Beretta, president and CEO of Beretta Holding, has announced the company’s plans to further increase its presence in the United States. Through the firm’s recent acquisition of Norma Precision, it is investing $60 million in a state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility for ammunition in Savannah, Ga.

Beretta Holding Group already employs nearly 1,000 employees in the U.S. through Beretta USA, Benelli USA, Burris, Steiner eOptics and Norma Precision. It also operates flagship stores in Texas and New York. This new plant offers a significant opportunity to further increase its already extensive footprint stateside, adding ammunition to its U.S. operations.

“I am delighted to announce our commitment to invest $60 million through our newly acquired U.S. ammunition subsidiary, Norma Precision,” Dott. Pietro Gussalli Beretta said. “Together with my family and Beretta Holding, we are very proud to add ammunition manufacturing to our U.S. presence. That is a very special moment as we can now provide our loyal and dedicated U.S. customers with a full range of locally manufactured premium products spanning from firearms to ammunition and optics, all united under the same group. We are also supporting the local economic network by creating hundreds of new jobs.”

“Norma Precision is already hiring hardworking Georgians on our coast, and this new facility will support healthy communities across the Savannah area,” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said in a press release shortly after the memorandum of understanding was signed last.

Norma Precision, which has manufactured purpose-built premium ammunition for 120 years, will construct a 300,000-sq.-ft., state-of-the-art facility covering the entire ammunition value chain, from manufacturing, assembly and distribution. This investment is a major step forward for Beretta Holding and confirms its commitment to serve its U.S. customers in the fields of hunting, sport shooting, outdoor, military and law enforcement.
