New for 2020, Leupold & Stevens added five new models to its affordable, award-winning line of VX-Freedom riflescopes. The all-new models join past offerings like the company's popular 3-9x40 VX-Freedom riflescope, as well as a scout scope, CDS-dial-compatible scope and other options covered by American Rifleman several years ago.

“The VX-Freedom line is designed to deliver a scope for every possible use case or scenario,” said Vici Peters, product line manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “If you’re setting up your AR-style rifle, you’re probably shooting .223 Rem. and looking for a Mil-based solution. The new VX-Freedom AR scopes deliver a pre-calibrated setup and adjustments you’re going to want, all in an affordable package that’s been designed, machined and assembled in the very same building as the well-known Mark 5HD and Mark 8.”

In fact, each of the five new-for-2020 models in the Leupold VX-Freedom lineup are calibrated for the popular .223 Rem. round. These include a 1.5-4x20 mm (30 mm) with a 223 Mil Illuminated FireDot MIL-Ring reticle, a 3-9x40 mm (1") with a 223 Mil TMR reticle, a 4- 12x40 mm (1") with a 223 Mil TMR reticle, a 4-12x40 mm (30 mm) with a 223 Mil Side Focus TMR reticle and a 6-18x40 mm (30 mm) with 223 Mil Side Focus TMR reticle.

Each of the five new models include either a ballistic dial or a ballistic reticle calibrated for use with most .223 Rem. rounds on the market, as well as exposed 0.1-Mil adjustments and Mil-based reticles. Additionally, all of the optics in the VX-Freedom lineup feature mil-spec lens coatings that provide protection from abrasive materials commonly found in the field, making these great optics for use in rugged hunting conditions as well as fair-weather range trips. The optics also feature a low-profile power-selector ring that's designed for easy manipulation, even when used in cold, wet conditions or with gloved hands.

Though affordable, these Leupold VX-Freedom optics feature the same Twilight Light Management System found in all of the company's optics, providing enhanced performance and glare management in low-light situations, particularly in the golden hours of dawn and dusk. Leupold's line of VX-Freedom riflescopes start at a suggested MSRP of $234.99. For more information, visit leupold.com.
