Offering all the computing power of a standard Kestrel 5700, but also featuring a preloaded library of Ruger rifles and match-grade ammunition profiles, the Ruger Kestrel 5700 Ballistics Weather Meter makes a potent ballistic companion for any long-distance shooter, but is especially ideal for those hitting the range with a Ruger rifle. When provided with the distance to a given target, the Kestrel is capable of both measuring a host of onsite atmospherics and generating a ballistic solution using the specifics of the shooter’s kit—taking much of the guesswork out of shooting out beyond point-blank range. In addition to the collection of Ruger rifle profiles, the unit can also store up to three user-built gun profiles—utilizing any combination of rifle and projectile—in its memory. The Kestrel 5700 retails for $399.
