Alien Gear Holsters has added its 10th model to its ShapeShift Modular Holster System, this time a shoulder holster with hybrid materials.

Available in black and brown, the ShapeShift Shoulder Holster includes edge-bound premium English Bridle Leather and CoolVent Neoprene and offers multiple configurations of the company’s injection-molded polymer handgun shell and Single or Double Cloak Mag Carriers.

The shoulder holster is anchored to the beltline and centered between the shoulder blades, and can be configured with one handgun and two mag carriers, two handguns, or four mag carriers. As with other Alien Gear holster systems, its hybrid material and modular design is a departure from traditional shoulder holsters.

“Our shoulder holster offers an innovative approach to what’s typically seen,” said Alien Gear Holsters mechanical engineer Igor Shirobokov. “The classic leather look is kept, but was improved by adding modern materials for a more functional, more comfortable, more secure and more modular shoulder holster than ever before.”

The shell may cant to direct the muzzle downward, and features three optional levels of retention (a thumb release, thumb strap and adjustable passive retention). Contoured shoulder pads include a hidden layer of elastic to better mold and move the holster to the body. The polymer belt hook is attached to elastic for added comfort. Highly adjustable straps provide a universal sizing system.

MSRP for the ShapeShift Shoulder Holster is $133.88;  the ShapeShift Shoulder Carry Expansion is $99.88.
