Our nation commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War in 2015, and in honor of the 2.7 million American men and women who valiantly answered the call of duty during that conflict, America Remembers has issued the limited edition Vietnam Tribute to Valor Pistol. As is befitting of a firearm memorializing the Vietnam War, the Vietnam Tribute to Valor Pistol is a functioning Colt Government Model chambered in .45 ACP—the standard-issue sidearm of our servicemen and women during that confrontation.

Each pistol is decorated in 24-karat-gold artwork with blacked patina highlights. The grips are CNC machined from a bar of solid steel, and were specifically produced for this tribute gun. Featured on each side of the slide is an Asian dragon, with the words “Vietnam Tribute to Valor” appearing on the left side and “In Lasting Memory of Unequalled Courage” written on the right.

The firearm’s embellishments were intentionally designed to resemble the Vietnam Service Medal, which was awarded by each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces to recognize service during the Vietnam War. A museum-quality firearm, only 1,000 of these commemorative guns will be produced, and each Vietnam Tribute to Valor Pistol is individually numbered and ships accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Price: $2,200. Contact: America Remembers, 10226 Timber Ridge Drive, Ashland, VA 23005; (800) 682-2291; americaremembers.com.
