Beretta USA Corporation has launched a website fully dedicated to the M9 auto-pistol. Accessible at m9.beretta.com, the site is being inaugurated a little over a month before 2015, the year marking the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Beretta M9 as the official sidearm of the U.S. military.

"This website is much more than a product page," said Ryan Muety, Vice President Premium and Brand marketing at Beretta USA. "It's not just about product, it's about passion. Our intention is to create a place where M9 users and fans as well as U.S. military and law-enforcement personnel (active or retired) can enjoy, share experiences  and be informed about this legacy pistol."

The Beretta M9 website promises to offer extensive information on the M9's technical specifications, but also a "Faces of the M9" tab, in which men and women in uniform recount, in their own words, their personal stories of how the M9 has impacted their lives while on duty, enabling the user to "see" their experience as much as hear it.

Another constant source of new content is the weekly "Fact or Fiction?" This section addresses some of the fables about the M9, as well as an "In the News" corner where M9 fans can keep up-to-date about reviews on their favorite pistol.

"Because we place emphasis on 'experience,' we wanted to create a nontraditional site that offers a lot more than flat content," continued Muety. "This is why we also have created an interactive world map that users can click on to see the conflicts in which the M9 has played its legendary role. This is why, besides written content and images, we have also made this site rich with a constantly-growing number of videos. Bottom line: if you can't be out at the range shooting it, this is where we'd love you to come and enjoy the M9."
