28-gauge shotguns have rapidly become a player on the market, and manufacturers have responded with enthusiasm. Now one of the finest shotgun makers of them all, Beretta, has gotten involved.

On display at SHOT Show 2014's Media Day at the Range was the company's 28-gauge A400 Xplor, and it generated plenty of buzz among the media. American Rifleman Editor-in-Chief Mark Keefe called it one of the "coolest" guns he's seen in years.
