An armed robber was shot dead by a 22-year-old man early in the morning on Detroit’s West side. Two men on foot reportedly approached three people, seated inside a vehicle, from behind and attempted to rob them. One robber, armed with a gun, allegedly assaulted the driver and demanded items. The 22-year-old drew his concealed-carry firearm and shot the robber multiple times. The man died at the scene from his injuries. The other man allegedly fled. A father was forced to confront a burglar on his porch in front of his children one Wednesday afternoon in New Hampshire. Upon pulling into his driveway, he found a stranger standing on his porch, without evident intention. Once he realized the man was trying to break into his home to steal his kids' bikes, however, the armed dad was forced to act. Telling his kids to wait in the car, the father stepped out and held the would-be robber at gunpoint until police arrived, at which point the failed intruder surrendered to
officers. (NBC BostonRochester, N.H., 7/25/19)
