A trespassing dispute turned violent one day in Georgia. After noticing a stranger on their property, a Georgia homeowner and his son ventured outside to check on the man. The man responded by firing on them, striking the homeowner's son. The homeowner's son was carrying a shotgun however, and returned fire, hitting the intruder. After collapsing as he tried to flee, the assailant was picked up, and died at an area hospital. Police revealed later that the trespasser had a previous felony conviction, and a warrant out for his arrest. (CBS46, Concord, Ga., 5/27/19)

Convinced that no one was home, two burglars broke down the back door of Heli DeHaven's Buckingham, Pa., home. The 79-year-old DeHavan leveled his 12.-ga. shotgun at the smashed door and fired. The bandits fled and were arrested when they sought medical aid. (The Daily Intelligencer, Doylestown, Pa.)
