A homeowner in Midland City, Ala., defended himself and his property when an alleged intruder attempted to enter his residence on April 6, 2022.

The incident occurred early that Wednesday morning, when the intruder approached the home and then attempted to gain entry through several means. Unsuccessful in his attempts, the intruder then tried to gain entry through a child's bedroom window. As he was making his entry, the intruder was confronted by the homeowner, armed with a firearm.

The homeowner then fired, striking the intruder in the head. When authorities arrived, they found the stricken alleged robber, who was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. (wsfa.com, Montgomery, Ala., 04/06/2022)
