Armed Citizen Extra

A bread delivery man in Ellenwood, Ga. became an unexpected hero while making a delivery at a Hardee’s early on an early Saturday morning. He noticed employees fleeing out of the back door of the restaurant in panic and screaming for help. They told him that an armed robber jumped the counter and held the staff at gunpoint demanding cash. Acting quickly, the delivery man rushed to his truck and retrieved his own firearm and proceeded into the restaurant to confront the armed robber.

Inside, the delivery man and armed robber exchanged fire in a short gunfight that lasted only a few minutes. The delivery man managed to land several hits on the robber, wounding him, who then fled the scene before police arrived. The robber was later tracked down to a local residence and surrendered after a standoff with SWAT. The Sheriff was so impressed with the bravery and selflessness of the delivery man that he was made an Honorary Deputy and inducted into The Sheriff’s Posse Hall of Fame. As Mrs. Sarah Edmondson, 55, was walking to work at a bakery in Baltimore, Md., at 5:30 A.M., a young thug punched her in the face and stomach and knocked her to the street. “You know what I want!” he said. What he got was a cal. .32 pistol bullet in the neck from a handgun that Mrs. Edmondson yanked out of her handbag. Police followed a trail of blood and arrested a 26-year-old suspect.
