Armed Citizen® Today

A licensed concealed-carry holder fired on a woman outside a Tulsa, Okla., shopping center after she arrived at the scene and began shooting at customers in the parking lot, the CCW holder said.

Video surveillance from the scene showed that the woman stopped by the armed citizen had been involved in an earlier altercation in the same parking lot. She left the shopping center, returned a few minutes later with a gun and began firing.

A man with a concealed-carry permit was in the parking lot at the same time, and he drew his CCW pistol and fatally shot the woman, preventing her from firing on more bystanders. The permit holder was questioned and released by the Tulsa County Sheriff Office's detective division. (Tulsa World, Tulsa, Okla. 03/28/2020)

St. Louis restaurateur Gus Kircher started carrying a gun in his restaurant after he was robbed of $600. A week later, a robber accosted Kircher and two female companions in an alley as they entered the restaurant.

The robber put a gun to the one woman's head, demanded money, and pulled the trigger four times. The gun didn't fire. Kircher pushed the gun aside and shot the robber twice, fatally wounding him. Police found two unfired rounds in the deceased's revolver. (The Post-Dispatch, St. Louis, Mo.)
