Taurus Judge 20th Anniversary revolver

Twenty years ago, a simple video ushered in new era for the firearm industry. Unlike most of today’s highly polished Youtube versions, this one was straightforward. It showed a revolutionary handgun obliterating watermelons and became the first gun video to go viral. It also introduced the world to a groundbreaking new category of handgun—the Taurus Judge.

Now, on the 20th anniversary of the gun’s debut, Taurus USA has released the 20th Anniversary Taurus Judge to honor one of the most recognizable and best-selling handguns of all time. At its core it remains true to what made the original legendary. The revolver features a five-shot capacity and is chambered to fire both .45 Colt cartridges and .410 shotshells measuring up to 2.5-inches in length. A brass rod front sight adds a classic touch while maintaining practical shootability. Barrel length is 3 inches. The double-action revolver features a transfer bar safety.

There are a variety of features that set this commemorative model apart, however, starting with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The stainless-steel frame and cylinder are engraved on both sides, elevating the Judge to presentation-grade status. The left side of the barrel proudly bears the "20th Anniversary" designation, while the right side features the handgun's iconic name. Completing the tribute, the premium American walnut grips are engraved with a detailed gavel motif, a nod to the Judge's unmistakable identity.

The revolver offers an unusual blend of performance, heritage and refined aesthetics. Don’t dismiss the 20th Anniversary Taurus Judge as something only deep-pocketed collectors can afford, either. Enthusiasts will be glad to learn MSRP is working-man, and -woman, affordable at $681.99.

Taurus is headquartered in Bainbridge, Ga., and owned by Taurus Armas, S.A., a publicly traded company in Brazil that manufactures a wide range of consumer and industrial products distributed worldwide.
