STI International has teamed up with well-regarded tactical and firearm trainer Chris Costa to design the new Costa series of pistols, starting with an optic-and-suppressor ready gun in 9 mm or .45 ACP.

The Costa H.O.S.T. pistol comes out of the box already fitted with a new Vortex Viper red dot sight. The Viper has a 6 m.o.a. dot and sits high enough to allow co-witnessing with the gun's iron sights. Speaking of which, the Costa gun comes with tall tritium sights that are intended for use when a suppressor is attached to the gun's pre-threaded barrel.

The double-stack 2011 receiver provides higher capacity than a single-stack M1911—18 or 21 rounds of 9 mm or 11 or 13 .45 ACPs, depending on which magazine is used. The company claims, the modular design of the 2011 transfers recoil along a flatter plain for better control and faster follow-up shots. The pistol features a tactical slim magwell and a tan TreeBark stippled grip. Metal parts have a durable Diamond-Like Carbon finish. The Costa H.O.S.T. pistol comes in 9 mm or .45 ACP with a 4.15" threaded bull barrel, two magazines—both 126 mm and 140 mm—Picatinny under-rail and the STI Recoil Master spring system.
