Remington Doubles Down on Double Stacks for 2018

Remington's 2018 R1 1911 pistol lineup includes two recently announced lightweight models, the Ultralight Commander (MSRP are $849+) and the concealable (3.5" barrel) Ultralight Executive (MSRP $1,250+). Both .45-cal. models are built on aluminum frames, making them 30 percent lighter than steel frames. They weigh in at 29.4 ozs. and 28 ozs., respectively, with an 8+1 or 7+1 capacity. 

  

The company is also doubling down on its double-stack inventory. Models include:


1911 R1 Limited Double Stack
