Savage Arms has introduced a new Minimalist Rimfire Rifle line, intended as a different take on the classic rimfire design. Models will feature green or brown laminate stocks for lightweight strength, supporting matte-black, sporter-contour, threaded barrels, which are button-rifled for accuracy. Atop their carbon steel actions, Minimalist’s Weaver-style bases are pre-installed, for the easy addition of an optic. Below the action, meanwhile, user-adjustable AccuTriggers are included for a greater level of personal fitment. The bolt-action Minimalist rifles, fed by 10-round detachable box magazines, are available in .22 Long Rifle, .22 WMR and .17 HMR.

“Minimalist combines the perfect balance of lightweight ergonomics and reliable performance,” said Beth Shimanski, firector of marketing for Savage. “At just 5.68 pounds, they’re perfect for backyard plinking or hunting on the move. You can carry one all day and hardly feel it.”
