Kimber's Rapide (Black Ice) 1911 brought an entirely new look to the company's extensive lineup, and the new design did more than just make the gun look good. The Rapide features unique slide serrations that enhance your control on the gun, and there are lightening cuts on the slide that speed up cycling. Now, all these enhancements and more can be found in Kimber's carry-ready handgun lineup with the launch of its Micro 9 Rapide Black Ice.

This all-new Micro 9 model is a carry-ready pistol platform that's just as capable and comfortable on the range as it is sitting in your holster, thanks to a number of upgrades that make it an easy, accurate, reliable shooter. Stepped cocking serrations at the front and rear enhance your ability to rack the smaller slide, and weight-reducing cuts on the forward section of the slide ensures faster cycle time, getting you back into action quickly for that follow-up shot.

The attractive and utilitarian design of the Kimber Micro 9 Rapide Black Ice is further enhanced with the addition of TruGlo TFX Pro day/night sights, so you'll be prepared for an accurate shot, no matter the lighting conditions. The serrated design found on the slide continues on the frame, as the G-10 laminate grips feature a themed pattern that enhances grip while also looking great. There are even machined cutouts on the pistol's backstrap that are designed to better-anchor the pistol in your strong hand, as well as Stiplex patterning on the front strap.

Other features found on the Kimber Micro 9 Rapid Black Ice include a skeletonized hammer, ambidextrous thumb safety and two-tone KimPro finish that enhances durability, as well as a DLC-coated 3.15" barrel that reduces friction for improved reliability and resistance to carbon build-up. Built on an aluminum frame, the Micro 9 weighs in at 15.6 oz. with an empty magazine and features an overall height and length of 4.07" and 6.4", respectively.

Suggested retail pricing on the Kimber Micro 9 Rapide Black Ice is $883. For more information, visit kimberamerica.com.
