BihlerFLEX ShockStrap

As anyone who has hauled material or equipment in a pickup bed or on a trailer knows, typical tie-down straps eventually loosen under load due to stresses and vibrations, making for an unsafe condition.

BihlerFLEX has remedied that issue with its ShockStrap ratchet straps, which feature mechanically attached polymer bungees that expand and contract, providing constant tension on the main strap as the load attempts to shift.

A backup strap ensures safety, and the bungees are not affected by most chemicals, sunlight or salt water. The 2"-wide polyester straps have a 2,000-lb. working load limit and 6,000-lb. breaking strength. Also, the hooks and commercial-grade ratchet mechanisms are zinc-plated for rust resistance.

Straps are available in 7-foot, 9-foot and 18-foot lengths, singly or in quantity. MSRP for the 9-foot ShockStrap is $38. For more information, visit theperfectbungee.com.
