In a world of striker-fired handguns, the hammer-fired double-action/single-action pistol still holds its place. Case in point, Taurus’ TH line of polymer-framed, hammer-fired handguns. Offering 22 different models in three different chamberings, new for 2024, Taurus is adding an additional model and cartridge to the TH family—the TH10.

The TH10 marks the first time Taurus has chambered a firearm for the re-surging in popularity 10 mm Auto. It is a full-size handgun that uses double-column magazines that hold 15 rounds of 10 mm ammunition, and two are supplied with each pistol. The TH10 has the same dimensions as its .45 ACP brethren, the TH45. It has an overall length of 7.8”, overall height of 5.8” and weighs 28.5 ozs.

The TH10 shares all the features of the other handguns in the TH series. It is a hammer-fired, DA/SA semi-automatic. All controls are ambidextrous with bilateral magazine release, slide release and safety/decocker lever. It can be carried with the hammer down in double-action mode or with the hammer cocked and the manual safety engaged. Additional safety is provided by a firing pin block and a visual loaded chamber indicator. The polymer frame has a Picatinny accessory rail on its dust cover and interchangeable backstraps to customize its grip size. Sights are a fixed front post with a white dot and a Novak-style rear sight that is drift adjustable.

Although Taurus offers its TH handguns in a myriad of color options and sizes, the TH10 is only offered with a full-size black frame, matte black slide finish and matte stainless steel 4.25” barrel. The Taurus TH10 has a MSRP of $529. For more information, visit taurususa.com.
