Based out of Black Creek, GA, American-owned and operated Daniel Defense announced the extension of its well-regarded DDM4 rifle line. For 2020, Daniel Defense will distribute an AR-15-style pistol—the DDM4 PDW.

“I believe our new DDM4 PDW is the absolute best gun you can buy to protect your family. And protecting our families is the most important thing any of us can ever do. It’s accurate, easy to shoot, and compact. I couldn’t be any prouder of this ground-breaking product,” said Daniel Defense President & CEO Marty Daniel.

The DDM4 PDW pistol will be chambered for .300 BLK, a .30-cal. offshoot of the 5.56x45 mm NATO case design. The PDW pistol features a 7” cold-hammer-forged steel barrel, which has been tuned with a 1:7 twist for optimized performance with subsonic ammunition. Additionally, an enhanced buffer system was optioned for reliability, whether shooting suppressed for unsuppressed.

Attached at the receiver’s rear is a Maxim Defense CQB Pistol Brace, allowing for nearly 4” of adjustment to accommodate all shooters. Daniel Defense supplies a 6” MFR XL handguard equipped with M-LOK slots and Picatinny rail for accessories and sights.

Daniel Defense includes a SLR Rifleworks M-Lok handstop and it’s own GRIP-N-RIP charging handle. A linear compensator to direct muzzle blast forward of the shooter is also included. The barrel comes threaded 5/8x24 t.p.i. considering its .30-cal. barrel.
