Womens Memorial

Located within the bounds of the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., is a unique memorial, dedicated to honoring the service of women in the armed forces throughout American history. Called the Military Women's Memorial, it is the leading foundation preserving the history and stories of the more than three million women who served in some capacity with the U.S. military since the American Revolution. The 33,000 sq.-ft. memorial includes a museum inside, displaying the histories of many servicewomen through programs and displays.

The memorial also offers in-person and virtual programs for educating visitors about servicewomen throughout U.S. history. Visitors can also submit names and information of women who served through its Register, to preserve their stories for future generations. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Military Women's Memorial, with a special weekend of events planned at the memorial from Oct. 14-16, 2022.
