IWI U.S., Inc., a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., has announced that the IWI US Galil ACE pistol—the first descendant of the Galil rifle to come to the U.S. since 1993—will hit dealers' shelves sometime in February 2015. AmericanRifleman.org is currently working on a full review of this gun and will publish it in coming weeks.

The IWI US Galil ACE pistol will be available initially in 7.62 x 39 mm with an 8.3" barrel and an overall length of 18", and will accept standard AK-style magazines. The pistol features a 2-piece Picatinny rail with adjustable front and rear sights, with the front site containing a Tritium post.

The Tri-Rail forearm system features removable covers, including a protected pressure switch area. The new location of the charging handle on the Galil ACE—it has been moved to the left side—enables shooters to maintain control over the pistol while charging while promoting faster target re-acquisition. The safety selector is available on right and left sides. For more, visit IWI US.
